Designed in 1942 by Major General Robert T. Frederick, the V-42 is a specialized tactical dagger.
It was part of the equipment of the special unit formed by American and Canadian army volunteers to carry out commando-type operations behind enemy lines during the Second World War.
This unit was more commonly known as the Devil's brigade and was renowned for its night missions, its soldiers operating with their faces painted black.
This reproduction by Paul Chen features a 1095 forged steel blade, leather handle and sheath. Faithful reproduction of the original commando dagger.
