The Practical Norman Sword by Paul Chen, based on a classic 11th-century design, is an important addition to the European practical line. Designed for historical reenactments, this sword features a deeply fullered, high-carbon blade that is light and well-balanced, with wide edges required by the reenactment community. The guard is wider than earlier Viking designs, and the pommel is of the “tea-cosy” type. The grooved leather-wrapped grip ensures a comfortable hold. The wooden scabbard is plain, allowing for owner customization. Non-edged, this sword is ideal for practice and reenactments.
